About Me

I grew up in a shop watching my father, pull from his imagination, build, mend, and invent. And I’ve been in the shop with him ever since I was tall enough to go on the rides. As a little kid (possibly a few times as an adult) I was crawling under tables to see how wood was being held together, how hardware was being hidden, and planning my own creations.

Both of my parents, my inspiration behind everything, are immigrants who came to this country with not much more than the will to ensure a better life and selflessly work providing their children with the opportunities that they weren’t. The opportunity to dream and follow my passion is less about the work I’ve put in and almost entirely a result of sacrifices they’ve made for me.

About Nightjar

The idea behind NIGHTJAR and what really put the wheels in motion was a simple story my Dad told me after his trip to Spain. He saw a woman crossing the street, carrying broken chair. She was on her way to a shop to get it repaired. That simple anecdote sparked a desire to build and create what I hope can be used, passed on, inherited, and worthy of being repaired.

A one man operation, propped up by the strength and support of my wife and son, who cheer me on from the sidelines every day. Officially established in 2020, this shop is the culmination of my life’s ambitions, and my greatest dream realized.

Whether you’re looking for a practical, timeless, durable alternative to plastic for every day essentials from cutting boards to children’s toys, or you’re looking for a custom furniture piece unique to your home and design eye, I hope you’ll find a place for NIGHTJAR in your home.
